OK, I did not look up the spec of the MOSFET yet, but if I am correct, you should have 12V between R351 (both ends) and gnd.

I have 12v on R351

My tv is VW46LFHDTV20A, the one listed there is VW46LFHDTV10A.
I don't know if it makes that much difference. I looked at the trouble shooting section but didn't really see anything that applied.

I'm just waiting to see if you guys recommend I order a mainboard. Found some for under $30 on eBay.
I know that the 12v fuse so far is blown on mine. I bypassed it with the auto fuse, getting 12v on the resistor budm mentioned but nothing on the L57 jumper.

Hello Malachi,
Budm was asking you to check for 12V at components R351 and L57. Does the attached picture in my earlier post ( added ) look anything like the circuit you are checking

Do you have an IRF736 IC alongside the components you are checking?

I can see that there's a U37 close to the LVDS output connector but cannot read it from your photo.

Could you measure the voltages on pins 1 - 8 of U37 only if to satisfy my curiosity since I suspect the mosfet is blown. It also could help others at a later date who may have similar problems.

If pin one is upper left with the white dot above it, it has 12 volts as do some of the other pins on the left side.
None of the pins on the other side have any voltage.

The MOSFET looks to be getting the input Voltage to it but it may be not getting the ON signal at the GATE pin or the MOSFET itself is bad.

Got the new main board in. Same picture problem as original post. Should I just return the mainboard and be done with this TV?

So right now the set is using new T-CON and new Main board.

No, I sent the "new" tcon board back because the picture was worse with it than the old one.
Colors are off, people, moving objects have a blur and there is still the darkness on the rights side that slowly fades away.

I've looked online but can't find an firmware for it case it need reflashed.

The tcon that I can find on eBay are used. They say they work but who knows.

Btw, since my skills are limited to replacing caps and then swapping boards, is there any place ou know of that buys or at least pay for shipping for boards that need surface components replaced.
I'm even starting to have a couple of Panasonic SC, SN and SS boards. Lol

I got got a VW46L in today with this exact same problem. I can flex the display (screen) on this set and it makes the problem get worse and go away. This set has a bad display.

Thankfully i found this thread before spending any money on the main or TCON boards. I have this exact same TV with the same issue.

It was in server for about 8 years so i got my moneys worth out of it.
