i just desolder the camicon 3300uf 10v cap and it tests at

      5229uf
      0.18ESR
2.2%Vloss (not sure what that means)

it looks to be a badcap

Vloss looks o.k. - if it's over about 4% it's not looking good.

but yes, that's a very bad cap

it will change a bit over time & temperature.
when you test enough caps, you get an idea of the range for a good cap.
              polymers have higher loss btw.

that's good to know for the future

BTW this is the first PSU i've ever repaired
tho like i said at the start

tho this is still technically a repair even if the caps were not 100% dead 'cause i'm still changing out faulty components "before they die"

you can only say that when you power it up and it runs.

will WD-40 work for the fan
and i did not do all of the small caps since some are in hard to reach parts of the PSU and because i accidentally burned my hand trying to desoder one but it feels better now

Good work, sir! Looks beautiful. Take a gander at all those nice Japanese quality caps... No, don't use WD40 for the fan

oh and out of all of the bigger caps i replaced [500UF+] only 2 of the 9 caps tested within specs for capacity
                                      them being a 1000uf 16v canicon
                                      and a 680uf 16v GL [or gold-link]

shipping more than offsets any savings though.
