I measured the power board for the LCD display Acer X203 H. And there is no 12V. Is it normal? I only have 3.3V and 5V.

Let me provide some more details.
My LCD display at first has no power at all, not even the power indicator light. I opened it up and checked the power board. I found out there is 5V is 3.3V. So I think it is the reset circuit in the display board that is bad. Since I have no schematic of the board and has no idea where is the IC, so I got another display board. After I replaced the display board, the blue power indicator light comes on. However, the display on the screen is white. It is not just blank white, but it is vertical light white. I tried unplugged the display cable from the display panel to the display board. It is then full screen white instead of vertical line white. I dont think it is the problem of the display board because I just purchase it and it is still under warranty. Since that there is no 12V from the power board, would it be the problem? Or some circuit managed to work without 12V? Oh, there is one correction. It is a Dell, not acer. Last edited by albertwong; 03-04-2010 at 12:06 PM.. |

most of the times, there is going 5v to the panel. Check this. Also check little smd fuse on panel (under metal shielding).
