    Toshiba 32AV502R green blinking LED

Hello. I picked up a Toshiba 32AV502R with a continous green blinking LED. It does stay solid for under one second when initially powered on. Part number on my power supply is PK101V1070I. Start up Cap Voltage is consistent at 165V. 24 is fluctuating, 5v is constant and no 12 volts. Checked all diodes for shorts with no luck. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem wiith this specific power board and model. I read through all the old posts and didnt see any resolutions.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just picked up one of these today at the dump, I have several of this series with broken screens so I swapped out the power supply and it works again. I cant find anything shorted on mine and it did power on initially for about a minute before going into blinking fits. I think it sounds like a bad mlcc, but as I had 4 power supplies sitting in the shop I am content to just swap this one.

I finally fix this problem with 5V stby goes into cycling up and down last week, at first I thought it was the startup cap but turn out to be D200 (I use 1N4148, it has leakage).
It ran for 1 week now. Notes: there are at least two versions of this power supplies use in the same model of the TV.

Good to know, I will have to try that out, did your diode test leaky or was it ok until under power? I didnt test that little bugger, just ran through all the usual suspects before swapping out the board.

I use my SENCORE LC75 to check the leakage current with 25V applied. The TV is still working and comes on every time, before the fix it was blinking front panel green LED and the 5VSTBY was swinging up and down.

              Hey budm.
I picked up this tv (for $1) and it looks to have the same issue.
The first time, after being shut off for a couple of days, it will show the input selection and I can navigate it but within about 10 seconds it starts to do a power cycle with the green light flashing on an off every second or so. It's like the tv tries to come on (the display flickers) but then gives up only to try again immediately.
From there I have to unplug it in order to permanently turn it off.
Think it's a safe bet that it's the D200 and to replace it with 1N4148? I haven't performed any testing as I don't have the tools.

You can remove d200 and see if it will stay on.

sobertob it is a very small smd diode on back of the power board,(75016973 (LD8008-380G) but there is more than one power board for this model, you may have one without that designation. Found a repair kit with these replacement parts for one of the other models (75014421) so I would give all these hard scrutiny if you have this board.

SOBERTOB, How about good clear pictures of top and bottom side of YOUR board?

I took mine to a computer shop where the guy removed d200, compared it to the diode I bought, said they were the same and put the d200 back on. He was doing this for free so I didn't feel right asking him to take the d200 back off and replace it with the diode.
Came home, put the board back in place and the tv has been on watching some movies via the firestick for a few hours now with no issue.
Maybe jostling it around did something? Either way, seems to be working for now.

If the tv works fine without d200 . Does that diode have to be replaced? Is there a risk of damage or a fire if the voltage goes over 300 without d200 installed?

It is part of the over voltage protection.

You might try cleaning or replacing the power tactile switch and other switches at the button assembly, main board. It worked for mine.

Excellent fix...Old diode did not check bad, even with my Heathkit 2032 component tracer (50v 30Hz) but now works with new IN4148

I found a Toshiba 32AV502R in the alley, and it had the same symptoms: powered on for a few seconds, then went into a loop where it would power on and and off every couple seconds.

I removed D200 and it seems to work now.

If it is part of the overvoltage protection circuit, I don't feel good running the TV without the diode. My concern is what function this diode serves and how to choose a suitable replacement. Is the forward voltage drop critical?
