hey i have an msi kt3 ultra ver 1.0 in front of me and i have an issue. it took me a while to find it but i can't identify this chip to replace it. i have some super high res photos for you here
it's right by the cpu fan plugin inbetween the cpu and ram if any1 can help me identify the chip so i can replace it and get my comp back that'd be great. PS : btw i have plenty of dead boards for this sorta thing. http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php..._mobo.JPG.html just incase u cant see it |

Just take the inductor of the same size from another dead board.

Just need to get the value of the replacement inductor. I may be wrong but if this inductor was used solely for the CPU fan header, wouldn't it be a standard value. Would it have to be exactly the same value as the original? If the inductor does not have to be exact then you may not need to find out the exact inductance of the inductor and be able to just take one from one of your faulty boards and just stick it in even thou the value may be off. ![]() |

Try anything with the same size. It usually works as the value is not critical.
