Hi,
I've got two ECS KM-400M motherboards. One I got in a lot of motherboards, the other one comes from an Acer Aspire T120 I found in the dumb last week. Neither of them work, yet most of their caps are Panasonic. The one from the Acer will turn on, fan spins for a couple seconds and there's a weird low pitched beep. The other one will turn on, fan spins for a couple seconds and then stops. I've tried them with different RAM sticks, Palomino and Thoroughbred CPUs (the one from the Acer came with a XP 3000+ yay ! ). I've even tried them without their BIOS chips but it's still the same. Any ideas ? |

Check the BIOS battery, if less than 3 volts, replace it.
You should get a PCI BIOS code card. It will give you 2-character codes you can google. |
