I have a monitor from a friend and I know how to take it apart (mostly) and I can see that some of the caps are bad but I am not sure what to replace them with. They are CapXon 1000uF 25V GF 105°C C724 caps. They look to be about 15mm x 15mm. What can I use to replace them and where can I buy them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1000uF 25v 13x20 mm 2340mA ripple, 0.025 ohm impedance need to pick capacitors that have better or equal ripple, lower or equal impedance, and should fit in the place of your old capacitors. Badcaps sells some capacitors that are good for you: http://www.badcaps.net/store/product...roducts_id=140 http://www.badcaps.net/store/product...roducts_id=150 otherwise, you can use digikey.com since you're in us: http://search.digikey.com/us/en/prod...2379-ND/613740 http://search.digikey.com/us/en/prod...445-ND/2433579 http://search.digikey.com/us/en/prod...1681-ND/756197 |

Thanks for the help. I am not sure if I have that height though. These are in a touch screen monitor and the board that these are attached to is right up against the backing. But this should get me started. Thanks again.

Well, get a ruler and check the height... they're not square so they can't be 15x15... the datasheet says they're 13x20.
1 inch = 2.54 cm = 25.4 mm if you only have "imperial" rulers |

Perhaps you need to consider that if these caps have gone then others of the same make will be of a similar age and will probably need replacing also.

@selldoor I'm sure the others need to be changed as well but I cannot get the board all the way out so for now I was going to try this and see how we do. The others all look good. Nice flat tops. J_K_M_A_N |

Would this one work? I can't find the ripple or ohm impedance. It is a little bit wider but same height as what I (think I) have.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone for the help. I was able to get the monitor working (on the right). The touch screen part still works also. So I didn't break anything (that I can tell). I really appreciate it.
