It needs about 10-15 mins to start up, it is getting worst now!
Open it up and thought there might be some swollen caps! All caps seem to look fine, no leak or anything! Is there anything else that I can do to fix this monitor? Thanks! IMG_0382.JPG |

This sounds like a classic case of caps with high ESR (equivalent series resistance). As the monitor warms up, the cap's ESR drops and allows the lcd to work.
See my standard answer regarding capacitors (regulars may skip) http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpos...84&postcount=3

I'd almost guarantee it's a bad cap; they don't always swell up. See my post from earlier today: http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20109

basically the meter didn't move when testing the 2 caps. Are these caps bad? |

A reading of 1 what? did you test in circuit
What make is the meter - how about a picture of it. Did you get instructions with it - should tell you if caps are ok? Did you just test these two caps - what about the others? What make of caps are they? |

yes, reading at 1 yap.
yes, I tested it in circuit. it's a in-circuit ESR meter that I got from evilBay. the other caps are reading with low ohms. I don't know what brand are the caps, will have to take pics of the caps and the meter. |
