My new favorite game is Urban Terror
![]() It runs great on older computers and laptops, but a lot of people (and freidns and others I know) play it, so it's funner that way... BUT I have one problem on one of my computers. Note that it's fine on any different computer anywhere else: I can play for a few minutes then I get a bit of lag, then back to normal, then a bit of [Connection Interrupted] then it works again then at some point it just won't stop saying [Connection Interrupted] which makes it unplayable. I've confirmed tat I'm the only one on the server with the lag... I've come to the conclusion it's my computer. Could my network card be overheating? Specs: -Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit -Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz -2GB DDR2 -320GB WD Caviar Blue SATA -TL-WN321G USB Wireless card -2Wire DSL Modem/router/gateway thing from AT&T Any assistance would be much appreciated... ![]()

Check your router... more likely. Doubt it's the network card.
Download WinMTR and keep a traceroute running to the IP of the server you're on and see if your router drops data packets when you're lagging. |

Could be CRC errors in packets. That would be real bad.

OK... update:
Using an Ethernet cable seems to have fixed the problem! I still get the random CONNECTION INTERRUPTED but only once in a while for short and I'm sure that's just my crappy DSL I guess that lousy wireless card just overheated or something. I'll check out that software and see if I can spot anything. Thanks guys Then again my phone isn't able to connect to my Wifi sometimes either |

Call up verizon and say, "POTS wasn't meant to carry high-band signals, silly."
How many wire-miles are you from the CO or switch?

NOT a gun free zone. Shooter confronted by permit holder. Shooter commits suicide. Only a few casualties. Texas. NOT a gun free zone. Shooter killed immediately by off duty cop. Only a few casualties. Connecticut. GUN FREE ZONE. Shooters kills until the police arrive. Suicide. 26 dead. China. GUN FREE COUNTRY. A guy with a KNIFE stabs 22 children. So much for "Knives have legitimate purposes, guns do not." Social networking is for socialists. |
