Hai Bill and others,
I hope I didnt broke any rules by contacting you directly, I did search for the subject as aboved but nothing related to my situation. I need your advices. This hp 2033sw has a ploblem as I ON the set, the display look fine and the bios display ok it moved around as normal set, but after few second (let just say 10 sec) the set went blank. I did put a testpen on top of the hV trans on the inventer brd and the testpen light up, to me this an indication a present of hv there. please advice me what went wrong. I did change all the ecap on the psu brd and the AD Logic brd. Thank you bill. Attach pictures. This sounds like 'Two seconds to black' comment by bill. |

Did you hookup a working computer to the LCD? If not, most monitors will go to sleep if there is no valid signal.
If you think it is 2 seconds to black, the most likely problems are a) bad caps b) bad inverter transformer c) bad ccfl and/or wiring All the above are documented in more detail starting with post #13 an #14 at http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10419 Also note the misc suggestion #1 on how to attach pictures using the manage attachments function.

Am I missing something? Is this an HP or a Samsung? Thread says samsung. Category says TV instead of monitor?
