Hi guys, i have a circuit board with a blown znr varistor,
the markings on it says 14k471u S45 so far i can only work out the 14 = diametre and 471 is the capping voltage. I'm not sure with that U stands for or the S45 i couldn't find this at farnell or rsaustralia. does any one know where i can get my hands one of these varistors. The manufacturer logo is a square with the letter M inside. thanks. |

14D471K $.80 from WES that will work, it will blow at 300 volts AC
OR maybe 14D431K that will blow at 275v. I take it its just in the primary of of a psu ? |

On my level

If you use an AC varistor you put it across the line. If you use the 275v one you need two and you put them across each primary cap.
