DVD power supply with TEA1532 and no external MOSFET?

Recently, I have made a circuit of the power supply from a Voxson DVD250 DVD player on http://www.eserviceinfo.com/download.php?fileid=22199.
Interestingly, the TEA1532 datasheet only shows applications using an external MOSFET connected to the Driver pin (pin 7) of the TEA1532, but the circuit of the power supply shows Pin 7 of this chip is not used; only the Drain (Pin 8) is used for driving the transformer.

I still don't know how this could be possible.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
Working...
