the problem i know is with the main large intel bga.
i got a dead one with 4gig of ram and a 1.7ghz cpu for free btw just needed a drive.
(and a reflow)

you obviously never had any HP NC62xx series laptops then.
the only fix is a reflow, a custom heatsink and losing the wifi.

piece of advice,
dont trust the crap on the screen, Mouser is often full of errors - like saying that is 250w and then saying it's 3.7w

read the actual datasheets.

the word "safe" only applies to transmitters.

but make sure you get the right ones for the job.

there are ones that go to a 50way narrow connector,
ones that go to a 68way connector,
and ones that go...

find the reset circuit on the mainboard.
dont ask, find a schematic or learn what it is.

start at the cpu's reset pin
*and make sure the oscillator/crystal is running.

good caps - clean layout, big heatsink.

only a couple of bad solder joints on the mains side and a micro-fuse (i hate those) otherwise it's o.k.

right idea, but you may need a balun transformer.
those used to come fitted to portable tv antenna for example.
this is why i asked if you know the input impedence.

the chart is rubish, you need the datasheet for the part your testing because they vary so much.
btw, a panasonic FR series 1000uf 25v is rated at 0.018 ohms
a rubycon YXF series is 0.062 ohms
...

the real problem is that nuclear power is too expensive to even calculate, it's just a by product or making weapons and to a lesser degree some industrial isotopes.
