This is normal, not a problem with the CPU. You should check the PWM first.

Re: Toshiba Satellite - Locks up when plugged in

Most good fluxes are no clean. But you can clean with isopropyl alcohol. I use ethyl acetate (CH3COOCH2CH3). It's a very strong solvent and does not damage the board. It's more expensive than...

Re: Toshiba Satellite - Locks up when plugged in

I don't know those e57 caps but normally "e" stands for 2.5 volts, so it will work (if "e" in this case is really 2.5v).

Re: Toshiba Satellite - Locks up when plugged in

Cold solder may cause it to charge normally when not in use, and do not charge at all when up and running.
Please, notice that I've never had a case where a Toshiba would turn off because of this...

Re: Toshiba Satellite - Locks up when plugged in

abo0badr, you should check other things first. Your model has a very common issue with the DC jack. Check for cold solder joints.

wmbuddhi, there was a 128 before. You don't need that much for a 907 but it'll also work.

Re: Acer Aspire 5520 dead

Not a problem if you know what you're doing and specially if you did not charge for the job. Anyway, most "reballers" started like that, you first reflow, then you get more courage and start to heat...

Re: Acer Aspire 5520 dead

Unfortunately, it won't last. This is a common problem and if you want long term results you need to remove the chip and exchange the solder spheres.

This Compaq ac adapter is 18.5v, you should get the values measuring with the red probe inside and the...
